The questions a price raises.

A Sofar record keeps its open questions in writing, next to the settled ones. So does this page.

14
question · 01

Is Free a trial?

No. The engine is MIT and the record is files in your own repo — nothing expires, nothing phones home. Free is the whole product where one person uses it.

15
question · 02

What does Team cost?

Not set yet. Per seat is the shape; the number lands at general availability, decided with design partners in the room. A placeholder price would be a bluff.

16
question · 03

What if we stop paying?

You keep the record. It is .sofar/ in your repo, versioned in git, and the MIT engine still reads it without an account. Sync is the paid layer, not the foundation.

17
question · 04

Does anything leave the repo?

Content never does. Sync moves the record only where you switch it on, and telemetry is opt-in, org-level, and metadata-only against a published schema.

18
question · 05

Do we change how we work?

No. One command per repo, then your agents read the record first and write back when they stop — hooks where a tool has them, a convention everywhere else.

19
question · 06

Can we start on Team today?

Not self-serve yet. Orgs are created by us during the pilot, so the buttons above open the waitlist. Join it and you shape the tier while it is built.
